SEND/Learning Support Primary Teacher
An opportunity for an experienced Primary SEND/Learning Support Teacher has arisen at a federation of top schools in East London.
The Executive Head is considering applications from experienced teachers with a background in SEND who are looking for new opportunity in September. This is a permanent, full-time teaching position which will based across several sites within the cluster (travel required). There is additional scope for career progression.
Students have varying special educational needs and disabilities ranging from Autism to complex and medical needs. There are significant resource provisions in place with new facilities (including a sensory room) across the four schools.
Essential requirements for the role include:
• Hold a Primary or Secondary PGCE
• Makaton and PECS experience
• QTS and a minimum of 2 years’ UK experience
• Minimum of 1 year experience within a SEND setting/mainstream school as a SEND teacher
• Additional SEND qualifications/recent CPD in the field
This is a well-established federation of schools in East London run by an award winning Head Teacher. The schools strive to offer students a diversified learning experience with specialist rooms provided for science, sport, cooking and music classes.
A strong willingness to work with students with behavioural, autism and mental health disabilities is a key requirement. Applicants must have UK experience and be willing to commit to the school on a long-term basis to ensure consistency and lasting relationships are fully developed with the students.
