A confident and well-positioned primary school in the sort after area of Wembley is seeking a new Year 4 Teacher for the remainder of the academic year.
Due to one of their Australian Teachers having to return to Oz unexpectedly, the long-standing Head Teacher is looking for a positive and proactive Primary Teacher who is excited to take on a new class for the remainder of the academic year. NQTs and experienced Teachers are all encouraged to apply!
This is a happy class of 26 pupils who have made good progress for this year already. You will be supported with a full time, experienced and motivated Teaching Assistant who is looking to move into their own Teacher Training in the coming years. You will be supported by a fabulous leadership team, with ongoing and active CPD opportunities available, as well as a team teacher to plan and prepare lessons and fortnightly phase meetings to share ideas and resources.
There are a number of international staff at the school from Australia, New Zealand and Ireland so applicants from overseas teachers are welcomed, providing you hold QTS and long-term teaching experience. The Head Teacher is open to running Skype interviews for teachers who are based abroad.
This is a long term contract which will be commencing in January 2019, with face to face or skype interviews to be held as soon as possible. Potential to commence as soon as possible for the right person if required.
The school is located in the wonderful area of Wembley, Brent and is in close proximity to several tube and overground stations. With excellent shopping and restaurant facilities nearby, the staff often take time out of school hours to hold social events and activities.
This is a well-established school in the Brent borough with a progressive Headteacher and SLT leading the school. Wellbeing and mental health is valued and yoga and mindfulness programs are offered to students and staff. As this is a large primary school there are definitely future leadership and TLR opportunities available across the school, if this is something you are looking for.
The school is rated as GOOD by Ofsted and has received positive feedback stating ‘Behaviour and safety are good. Children are keen to learn; they get on well with each other and feel safe at school.’
