An opportunity for an experienced Year 5 Teacher has arisen at an “Outstanding” primary school in the Clapham/Tooting area.
A full-time Year 5 Teacher is required from September at an ‘Outstanding’ school in Wandsworth. This is a great opportunity for a teacher with 2 or 3 years’ experience to join a talented KS2 team that adopts an innovative approach to teaching which has seen the school achieve great success in recent years. The class has high EAL provisions however a full-time Intervention Teacher is employed to support the KS2 unit. Applicants must be able to demonstrate differentiated work samples for students of varying abilities including SEN and EAL provisions. QTS is an essential requirement and applicants must be available to interview the week commencing 7th August.
Over the past few years, the school has journeyed from ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ under a new leadership team and highly capable teaching staff. Frequent educational outings and field trips ensure students receive a well-rounded education and attainment in SPAG is above the national average in KS2. This is a faith school and students are from a wide range of minority ethnic backgrounds with higher than average numbers of EAL students. Therefore a specialism with EAL is highly desirable. Located close to the Northern Line tube and National Rail stations, the school is easily accessible from various parts of London.
